Alan J. Goldberg Vice President, Broker Associate Alan Goldberg is a Vice President at Hallmark & Johnson Properties, Ltd. and has specialized in the sale and leasing of commercial real estate properties in the Chicago metropolitan area for more than 30 years. Al’s core focus is representing buyers and sellers of apartment buildings, mixed-use buildings, retail and shopping centers, office buildings, and small industrial properties. Al also works with developers in locating development opportunities, vacant land sites, conversions, and knockdowns. As a developer, Al has rehabbed and developed Evanston Lofts Condominium, the first legal live/work property in Evanston and the award-winning ArtSpace RP Building in Rogers Park. This extensive experience has provided Al with intimate knowledge and empathy for the financial needs and construction concerns of developers and the requirements for development property. Al is a director of the Rogers Park Builders Group and has been appointed by Mayor Richard M. Daley as a commissioner of the Clark/Morse/Glenwood Special Service Area #24. He has organized the Glenwood Avenue Arts District and coordinates the annual Glenwood Avenue Artsfest/Lifeline Theatre Kidfest. Al has served two terms as a director of the Chicago Association of Realtors and is a past chair of the CAR Commercial Committee. Alan Goldberg holds a degree in Economics from the University of Illinois and has taken many real estate courses such as: Creative Sales and Brokerage, Appraisal for Tax Reduction, Principals of Real Estate Appraisal, and Environmental Regulations. |
